He is quite amenable to this. Our burgundy lwb is basically his design as well except we have a suede tongue and commando soles for winter.

How up to date is the first post? I'd be interested in the black SG longwing if it didn't have the red lining.

That black scotch grain longwing ship has long since sailed.
Currently on the table is some kind of suede longwing boot but I don't think there's been any agreement yet.

I'm actually thinking of placing a MTO order for a midnight blue suede longwing or brogue shoe (for spring/summer wear). I was looking at a natural welt, dainite sole, ...similar to this :
