I've been wondering about that Comipel cordovan too.
That quote is about the only thing I've been able to find too.
Except for the metallic odor bit, that could describe one pair of Horween C&J's for Polo I have although I was eventually able to minimize the welts.

Comipel does chicken leg and tilapia too.

Who's up for a chicken leg Stow?

Hehe I wonder how many legs you would need to build a Stow :D

Would we all have to agree on the same options as usual? Your statement about staying away from the cordovan suggests we might not have to?

Yeah, order on multiple of 6 is required, only if Richard agrees on taking the rest as stock items.
If we have consensus on design, at least 3 people intetested, I can ask Richard to reserve space.
I think suede x leather combo will be nice for spring.

I think he just meant that if you guys were going to go for a comipel that he wouldn't be in for that. I'm almost certain you'd all have to agree on the specs before a group order could go through.

I would be in on a suede x leather combo.

So do we have interest in:
    1. Allan boots
    2. 2 tone wingtip
    3. 2 tone Richard (longwing shoes)
    4. 3 tone Golosh (longwing boots)

    Color: ?

Sorry I have been swamped at work, so please chime in the details and I'll compile them

I'd be up for something similar to that longwing boot but with a natural welt/light edge trim.

Id be interested in 2 , 3 & 4 depending on the make up we go with. Prefer natural barbour welt and 4497 (especially on the shoes) last with double leather or dainite soles. Some variations of brown/tan.

    Thanks.

The more I look at the Allan boots, the more I think I like the Eatons better. Can the Eatons be done in shell as well? If we go with standard Horween shell colors, can we do Horween shell instead of the Comipel shell for the same upcharge?

    I've already the Eaton :D
Last time I spoke with Richard, he said Tricker's do not use Horween.

But, David has said differently. I suppose the extra charge for using Horween will be similar to A.S. (£200 + VAT), but the best is to ask Richard for a confirmation.

£200 is a little bit higher of an upcharge than I would want to go just to get decent quality shell.

I guess I will put myself down for make-up #1 from the first post in this thread, the coffee Eaton. However, I would prefer speed hooks like on the burgundy pair above instead of all eyelets. Anybody else interested?
