Topman shirt sizes

I'm a bit confused with shirt sizes tbf. I don't wear shirts all that often but there's one or two by Topman that I've seen online that I have really taken a liking to lately. Problem is I'm a bit of a funny one for sizes. I have tried on one or two new look ones lately (don't really like Newlook I was just bored) the small fit my body exceptionally well except the arms were too short. The medium arms fit me perfectly but the body was just a bit too baggy - especially at the back making me look slightly hunch-backed and awkward. I've heard Topman sizes are a little smaller and I find this is true with their t-shirts as their small sizes fit me like I was made to wear them. I also own one of their medium hoodies, which really is a bizzare thing because it doesn't really fit me and I'm fairly ceartain that the same in a large would fit me :S

Basically my question is, anybody familiar with Topman's shirts? How do you find they fit you? I am a shade short of 6 foot 1 with a slim/athletic build
