Good advertising for them all around. Good press for TF and good "cache by association" for Robb Report to sell more copies.

Is it deserved? Well, that's certainly debatable. For example, on the men.style .com website when they have "season's BEST duffels" and they have Valextra, Hermes, Mulberry... and then a random HUGO BOSS thrown in? Likewise with shoes... "best shoes of the summer," ... JL, EG, Barker Black, ... and HUGO BOSS!

I think this is something similar. TF isn't bad, of course, but he's hot now and probably for a magazine it's good to cuddle up to him. Fashionistas still love him and playboy types, too, are starting to take notice. Why not call him "best of the best?"

Whether or not he actually is, though, is of course the REAL question...

After spending the last year on this forum I've realized that magazines really don't know jack about clothing or style. Probably how people on car forums, audio forums, and any other hobby forum feel about major publications of their hobby.

Magazines are essentially marketing catalogues for their advertisers.

Exactly. Conflict of Interest situation if I ever saw it. Brutally honest feedback and opinions only come when their is no self-interest, as it is with most internet forums.
