My fashion and style sense are next to zilch. I'm choosing an outfit for an event tomorrow evening, and I wanted to be creative. From experience, this could end badly. So, for a second opinion, how does this combination of colors and such look? Stylish, clown costume, or somewhere in between? Thanks tons!

The only problem with it is the color of the tie. Substitute... I don't know, maybe a brown tie... and I'd give the combo high marks.

Yes, it's possible to wear a white tie and make it work. It's possible to swim the English Channel, too. But neither should be attempted by someone who is less than completely confident he knows what he's doing and has solid reason to believe he will succeed.
