Tie knot advice for heavy fabric skinny tie

I have a skinny tie I like but last time I wore it to an event, I noticed afterward in photos that the knot looked like it was coming undone all evening. It's like I didn't tighten it enough, which I know I did.

I think this has to do with the knot I chose (I forgo which, maybe half windsor) and the relative weight of the fabric. It's fairly stiff/thick for a skinny tie.

Anyway, what is the best knot to use in this case?

Four in hand is a small knot and will preserve the balance between the width of the knot and the width of the tie blade.

Can you please post a photo and describe the type of silk?


I am wondering if perhaps your tie is made from a satin silk?

The knot and weight should not be too big of a concern in theory....
