I have collected ties for many years, and only lately begun to sell them. Here is a link to some albums I prepared for a collector. I didn't know his taste, so I included some of everything. As you can see, some patterns, colors and widths exemplify a period, but many styles keep recurring through the years. I have favorites from many times and places. The only unifying element is my taste, be it good or bad. Some of the ones in Album V date back to the 20s, I believe. Here is a link: http://www.kodakgallery.com/ShareLan...fromshare&Ux=0

When you guys say those conservative ties (tiny icons, stripes, solids) are "in" do you mean for business only?
Can't I whip out my wild "out of fashion" late 80's/90's ties and be appropriate for at least business casual or are my office mates secretly laughing behind my back?
Am I not allowed to wear my colorful baroque Versace tie out for an evening at least?
What are the rules?
Must those colorful beasts stay on the tie rack? They're screaming and begging to be let out!

BTW, does anyone actually wear a Pancaldi tie for business? I have one sitting on the rack waiting for me to get up the nerve one day to wear it to work. Should I just do it or is it inappropriate for business.

SoCal, I applaud your courage for posting this collection.

That said, in my humble opinion, they're all ugly--seriously, seriously ugly--except for the Etro and Stefano Ricci ties in the second block.
