I like B, but the shoulders need to be extended a bit and the sleeves lengthened a touch.

Something about the combination of the shoulders and sleeve length make it look like your busting out of the jacket (even though the chest, while very fitted, seems well done).

Broad guys benefit from a slightly longer jacket. The guidelines are just that, guidelines.

Those sleeve heads seem problematic (not all). What is the preference towards shorter sleeves?

B is so Italian it looks silly. The adlocutio is therefore entirely appropriate.

Seriously though, I'm not taking about guidelines, but simply about basic proportions. Missing the half/half proportions make the legs look short IMO. That's especially noticable on coat C.

To your eye. I think dropping the buttoning stance would be a bigger improvement though. Smaller cuffs as well.

You know, I immediately thought of you (no ****) when looking at B, it is very much like your usual silhouette.

I know, but that's how it looks in real life. Essentially a Second World War Wermacht uniform, civilianised. I instructed my tailor to go for Chiang Kai Shek-style scalloped pocket flaps.

Anyhoo...

B's an A&S, in Harrisons 12oz flannel glen plaid, cut by John Hitchcock.

1. Extended the shoulders.
2. Lowered the buttoning point.
3. Decreased the spacing between buttons.
4. Lowered the gorge.
5. Widened the lapels.
6. Shortened the length.
7. Slimmed the trousers.

Needs a shorter jacket, right?
