in Paris. Great socks and ties.

I prefer the Gallo selection at Kimono on Boulevard Haussmann, but I admit I am prejudiced against Liste Rouge. BTW, is Liste Rouge really a "shirtmaker"? I mean, it's very hard to tell what is truth and what is advertising given that they're hand in ill-fitting overpriced glove with Monsieur.

There is now a very limited selection of Gallo knits in Brussels - about 10 ties in total: blues, mixes such as brown with fuchsia (looks much better than it sounds) and a couple of Phat Guido specials. But they're EUR90 a pop

I've no idea: I've never bought one of their shirts, and I don't read Monsieur.

I'm not sure about Gallo, but Drakes London do great silk knit ties - http://www.drakes-london.com - I just bought one from their website for my husband and its lovely, top quality!

Yarr, there be also a website where ye can be buyin' Gallo socks, if not the ties... french-gentleman, I believe it's ".com" but not sure -- ye can Google it.

I've been in Italy for the past fortnight and went a bit silly in Gallo, both in Rome and Milan. Apart from their bi-colour ties, their reversible belts are also nice. The double sided glass cuff links are reasonable but have a hole/ channel running transversely.
