El Guapo and others, do you know of any on-line retailers or common US sellers that carry these?

I see from searching other threads that Ben Silver, Land's End, and Bromley have been known to, or currently do, carry knits, but I'm not sure about Gallo in particular.

thanks,
b

I'll spill the beans, since ElGuapoWongo's holding out. I bugged him about it for two weeks around the time of the 'Brown...' competition. He told me that the blended color one was a sample from Gallo that he picked up in Sydney, and that it was the only one in the store.

I asked David Hober about making one (see, I told you I was persistent) and he said that pretty much all knits come from Italy, and that they're manufactured in long lengths - so basically he'd have to find the manufacturer and commission something like this to make it. I know he's thinking about doing knits, so maybe we could all guarantee we'd buy one and get this or a similar tie.

Why don't you people just call Gallo in Rome?

Is this the same Gallo that makes those wonderful socks?

- I don't sleep.. I hang upside down!
- You mean we all should wear one as a SF tie instead of a Eric Glennie (or what ever his name is?) special..
- If I ever tire of the tie.. Manton would be first on the list..

It would serve as a distinguishing mark - something other than the Grant, which is the SF shoebolleth.

That, and the Beaulieu, dark oak, 82 last, which I think everyone got from last summer's EG sale.
