For any of you who have seen a naked woman lately, Hanky Panky is the inexpensive underwear of choice for them - they are inexpensive, cut well for most, and look a lot nicer than $10-15. They are like the underwear equivalent of Happy Socks. I still dunno everything that went down between Mauro and the Denim Bar, but they still seem to have some good stuff - APC, Gilded Age, Acne, Buzz Rickson, Kicking Mule Workshop, Simon Miller, etc..., at least according to their blog: http://denimbar.tumblr.com/ But their client base has always been women shoppers in the mid-range, and their denim and clothing buys reflect this.

Here are the facts,

The denim bar is a good place to shop if you are a woman or an uneducated male.
The store has been around for 5 years ( congrats!) but now that Jeff is gone they couldn't buy their way out of a wet paper bag with men's.
If someone says it's cool they will pick it up. Ther eis nothing wrong with that.
I wish them the best.

The ratio has always been about 70% womens 30% mens. I have met a few chicks there in my time too

In the good ol days we would sell about 200 pair a month and at 18.00 bucks a pop thats not bad.

to be fashionable is one thing. to be fashionable and educated is another.
