1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

It is true, I am related to them (through Adam and Eve). But I am related to all the men and women of Earth, both current and past, to where I can't possibly know all their nicknames hehehe (too many to keep track of).

That's just unmitigated laziness, and there you were complaining about your co-worker slacking off.

My mom sometimes gets words wrong (doesn't know them) she says "omitigated." Sometimes I think that is funny and other times I do not.

my news feed this morning told me that "Bacon painting fetches record price ($142m)".

I thought to myself, well people around the world (myself included) really do like their bacon, so i suppose this makes some sense.

turns out the painting was painted by Francis Bacon, and the most wonderful breakfast food was nowhere on the canvas

When you first thought about this did you think it would be a painting of bacon or would it be a painting made from bacon?

Jeff Koons would make an installation with inflatable bacon and lobsters.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ron English did something bacon related after his fat Ronald McDonald.

Painting of bacon. But now that you've put in my head the possibility of a painting being made out of bacon, I can't stop thinking about that

I saw a guy waiting in line at the pharmacy wearing Beats By Dre headphones around his neck, playing his music through his speakerphone. :brick:

Also seen people wearing those horrible headphones that can be turned around to act as speakers, wearing them around their neck facing outwards. Yeah, thanks Mr Mobile Boombox.

    Yup.

On the bright side, the headphones at least have a wire you can use as a garrote if you get completely fed up with their attitude and lose your mind.

I put a picture on facebook of some Bernardaud plates that had a rapey looking Michael Jackson holding a monkey painted on them. My art curator friend kind of went off about Jeff Koons after that.

An actual honest-to-God speaker system would be an improvement. If I have to listen to your shit music, it might as well be played over speakers that are designed to be listened to from more than one inch away.
