This guy can barely talk.

He is probably the undercover boss. You and your colleagues are going to be shamed on national television, I fear.

Pffft, most of us attorneys don't actually have to talk.

I do not understand this post at all. I know that the words are English words and they seem to follow a correct and familiar grammatical structure but I can't seem to parse any sensible meaning from them.

What can I say, I love my job. It gives me the opportunity to verbally beat up cops and midgets.

Well not everybody can be so fortunate to not have to talk and only expose themselves to make a living. Then again I could help you make a living by exposing myself. Wait, why did I bring exposing one's self into this conversation in the first place?

I'm willing to be the complainant.

No one complains when I expose myself. It's a treat.

This neighbor of mine is always bragging about how fast he reads. I've been lending him the Song of Ice and Fire novels and sure enough he returns them in a couple of days. But the thing is, I was just talking to him about the one he finished just yesterday and realized that he doesn't understand the book at all. And I don't mean that he misses the deeper themes or subtle aspects of characters, I mean that he gets major plot points wrong and when I mention a character by name he doesn't even know what I'm talking about until I explain who they are. Dude is a grown man, I can't believe that he's so stuck on being a #1 READER GREAT JOB! that he can't even take the time to comprehend what he's reading. I mean it's not hard to tear through a book when all you're doing is looking at letters really quickly.

I agree, it has been a very icy winter. But I don't think it's worth writing a Song about, unless you can tear through it very quickly.

I have always wondered if a speed reader could comprehend a dense book.

Most speed reading is hokum. Those that actually are effective do not promote comprehension.
