Stfu nerdThat is actually a well known side effect of over indulgence. Alcohol suppresses glutamate -- an excitatory neurotransmitter -- so the brain ramps up production to compensate. As your body metabolizes the alcohol over time, glutamate becomes increasingly elevated relative to the normal baseline. At some point determined by your individual physiology, this pops you awake and, because your brain is now fizzing with a natural stimulant, it's very hard to get back to sleep.
When TV is questioning the level of your alcohol intake, that's when you know it's serious.Fark, How much do you drink Ed?
Could just be something as simple as low T.For some time now I've been feeling significantly fatigued. My doctors have run all sorts of tests and come up with nothing. Wednesday the PA in my PCP's office ordered a blood test checking my B12 and D levels. Turns out I've got a significant deficiency in both ... so much so that the PA called me and asked me to come in immediately for a B12 shot and Vitamin D pills. I'm hoping this explains it -- time may tell -- but am wondering why none of my doctors (including specialists as in pulmonologist, hematologist, cardiologist, etc.) haven't bothered to check prior to now. Each seemed to want to find something specific to his/her field. Could it be this simple?
Hope this is it.
