Me: I received explanation of benefits from two insurance companies showing oayments made in May and June.

Doctor: Our records show payment was rescinded in January.

Me: I have recieved EOBs showing payment half a year past January! Both the insurance companies told me over the phone, that the payments in May and June were valid and not resinded.

Doctor: Our records show you have an account balance of xxxxx.

Me: .....

So now I email some rando some EOBs and see what happens. Just bullshit to deal with thia ****.
This reminds me of the time I had to fight with my dentist's office.

"I shouldn't owe anything. Insurance covered it and the EOB says no remainder due"

"Well, your account is showing a balance."

"This is balance billing. You can't bill me more than insurance allows."

"But your account is showing a balance."

"But you can't do that. It's illegal."

"The computer is telling me you still owe money."

etc.

They called me a few days later when they kicked it up the chain. My account somehow got set to the full pay rate in the system instead of in network rate.

I wonder how many days of my life I've lost dealing with health insurance and medical billing issues.

Short term: nothing beats RICE* plus Vitamin I by the handful.

Medium term: stretching and foam rollers.

Long term: PT and gait analysis (rowing analysis?), recurrent IT band pain usually indicates that there’s something hinky in your biomechanics.

* RICE = Rest Ice Compression Elevation
I have been running a lot more miles over the last few months and my right knee has been giving me some trouble. It looks like the problem might be that I am overpronating a bit, so I'm going to try some motion control running shoes. Most of the ones I have seen look like nurse shoes but hopefully I will find something that does the trick without being too hideous.

Rowing a few times a week and deadlifting once has resolved almost all my chronic running injuries.

The deadlifting likely helped foot strength which relieved running injuries. Support shoes should only be a temporary fix similar to other support bands or sleeves.

The dl routine i had been on from dec-mar was incredible. I miss going to the gym. And bars. And just feeling like society is working.

The great thing about deadlifts is that of all the staple compound lifts, it requires the least equipment. Just the bar and plates, no squat or bench racks. Since i do have the plates, I’m able to keep doing it at home

Sounds like my wife after getting a root canal. Had to go back like 4 times because they needed a specialist, the impressions were wrong, etc. Then tried to bill us for the extra appointments even though it was their fault. Still ended up being ~$3k

This reminds me of the time I stiffed a hooker in Nuevo Laredo. I told her I would go grab a check book and be right back.
