Also, don't forget that he goes so far into the weeds on **** no one else cares about so you get a double-whammy of colinpowell.gif

Yeah, who would want to read posts with facts and data. We should just stick to our talking points. Plus, I enjoyed his posts on cell phone arbitrage and broadband stuff.

Those 15 hours reading his posts really did save me 15%. :D

My posts are incomplete if at least 50% of the sentences don't contain parenthetical statements (or maybe I will insert the extra content via some em-dashes instead). You should see them *before* I edit them down.

They're probably still more readable than when Lincy gets all stream of consciousness.

Take that back right now, L'incsy's posts are poetry.

Well, I'm not one for poetry, so I still hold his posts in higher regard than that.

Let's not get into a tiff, Brokensies. We've been pretty friendly up to this point. I don't want to see us start a senseless internet battle over this.

In College and Hiding from Scary Ideas: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/03/22/opinion/sunday/judith-shulevitz-hiding-from-scary-ideas.html?_r=0

"The safe space, Ms. Byron explained, was intended to give people who might find comments “troubling” or “triggering,” a place to recuperate. The room was equipped with cookies, coloring books, bubbles, Play-Doh, calming music, pillows, blankets and a video of frolicking puppies, as well as students and staff members trained to deal with trauma... after a while, she had to return to the safe space. 'I was feeling bombarded by a lot of viewpoints that really go against my dearly and closely held beliefs,' Ms. Hall said."

and

"A year and a half ago, a Hampshire College student group disinvited an Afrofunk band that had been attacked on social media for having too many white musicians; the vitriolic discussion had made students feel “unsafe.”"

In College and Hiding from Scary Ideas:

I had a disciplinary hearing about this kind of thing today. I made an analogy to Tic Tac Dough during class the other day and a student cried out "Hey you gotta do trigger warning I got issues with gluthens put me to trauma!"

I'm sure you can all guess how that turned out that's right I got a demerit for "gluthen insensitivity."

  • Always - Sustainability is a top priority in all my clothing purchases.

  • Often - I frequently consider sustainability, but it isn't the main factor in my decisions.

  • Rarely - I seldom consider sustainability when purchasing clothes.

  • Never - Sustainability is not a factor I consider in my clothing choices.
