An emergency came up late in the day today, and since I'm one of the few people who are in the office that late, I got to deal with it. (Someone outside our department messed up in a big way, and we're the only ones who can fix it.) The upshot is that I will have to be in the office early on Tuesday and Thursday next week, which will limit my Monday and Wednesday port consumption.

Genevieve hardly ever sees anger, so she doesn't respond well to it. When I saw that she wasn't liking it, I picked her up and held her and told her I loved her. Then she started purring really loud.
