I call this look, "Deadwood hardware merchant just traded his workboots with local native Americans for some dope-ass mocs." (There's a NSFW version of the title too.)

@JonOrangeElise I have to say that I am experience some cognitive dissonance because of the soles on those shoes. I suppose it's an example of Visvim being Visvim...

I think I'd like that a little more if the jacket sleeves were shortened (and maybe the shirt length?) and the sneakers had blind eyelets.

Thanks for the feedback. I like that everything isn't "correctly" tailored. Otherwise it would start to feel too much MC for me. I like the Geller jacket because the lapels are small and it's slightly long, doesn't look like a typical "blazer"

First, thanks for the comment! Second, Frank Cowperwood sounds very Deadwood. Appreciate you rolling with the theme. Third, I get what you're saying, and here's how I process the dissonance: Like the Persian rug that needs an "imperfect" stitch, I would never wear the Visvims if they were truly traditional moccasins. Especially not with this outfit. Then it's just costume, and this look already risks wandering too closely to that. One of the things that took me a long time to grasp/adopt in design (magazine covers especially), is that things often look better when they're a wee bit wrong. Extremely ragged type. The garish color that somehow works. Or, back to clothes, Kanye wearing weird-ass Visvim FBTs. But, yeah. I hear you.

For F's sake. I post my comment about the imperfect stich, only to catch up on the thread and see I channeled msg by accident. Agree!

Understandable, although I think the extended sleeve length works better with the soft, unstructured vibe of the Richard jacket vs the more sharply tailored look of the zipper blazer.
