Sometimes we have to resign ourselves to the fact that usage changes.

True. We still call policemen "cops" even though they no longer wear uniforms with copper buttons, or refer to dollars as "bucks." Language can be as elastic as a rubber band but that doesn't change a word's etymology, especially one based on inaccuracies.

People can call epaulets "pancakes" for all I care, we still know they're referring to passants.

SVB, getting better. Seems like just the angle of the photo alone makes it better, as shoes look less chunky. Still would like to see you rock some slimmer boots.

Snow, top knot just brings your style to the next level.

Yeah, Snow, the top knot makes your whole look consistent from head to foot. You should rock it all the time.

Nice, yet simple outfit.

However, I really don't think those glasses work with your face. You have a rather large and wide nose, and the rims outline it which just makes it appear bigger. The glasses combined with your short haircut also make the oval shape of your face come through which makes your face look kind of big and chunky.

1 trim at the 5-6 month mark to have it longer on top and shorter on the sides and back.
went to a few places to get an opinion on maintaining long hair; keep growing it so the curls fall lower or use a straightener

Seriously, asshole? That's your attempt at intelligent retort?

Thought I'd show, not tell. :)

I'm sure if you looked hard enough, though, you'd see that etymology is irrelevant; words gain new meanings over time, and none are more legitimate just because you want them to be.
