What industry? I think that I wouldn't want to work at a place that filters people based on tattoos so it would work as a good litmus test.
Medicine is still old fogey white dudes.
I'm applying to med school right now and I could probably get away with half sleeves or whatnot that don't show when I'm wearing scrubs, but basically I don't want to give patients or attendings a reason to doubt me. Once you're an attending it's all good. I think ER docs and surgeons tend to have some more often. No one in the OR will really care, but patients do still judge you for having them sometimes.
