I started watching The West Wing. What a phenomenal show. Martin Sheen, who plays the President, wears this.

My first high-end watch was this DeVille model. Great watch. I should've kept it.

I like a lot of things and am pretty easy going. That collab may be the worst collab I have ever seen.

I'm okayish with it outside of the date. Dates on this Nomos movement are not quick-set, which for an occasional watch is a giant pain in the butt. Though as much as I'm a sucker for a NOMOS LE, even if they took away the date, I wouldn't be interested.

So I went to the local high end AD of many brands looking to see the Pelagos 39 and Longines Zulu time. They did not have the Pelagos 39, but did have the Zulu. Also tried on a few other pieces that were cool (e.g. Reverso duo).

The Zulu time is probably too big. I don't think it wears too big on my wrist, but for a 42, it wears large because the bezel is fairly narrow. I think if it were 40mm even, it'd be just about perfect.

The seamaster on the flat link bracelet looks really good. Might be my next watch - pick one up on the rubber or nato at a discount and then add the flat link [Forstner?].

forstner contemporary flat link.
its bigger, thicker, longer links complement the watch much better than the normal flat link (including the one from uncle seiko). and something about the endlinks helps the bracelet flow better into the case than US (i also have the US flat link for this watch, and it just doesn't work IMO).

Gorgeous. Love the weaves on the shirt and jacket, too.
Thank you!

I love the jacket too - bought it recently from someone, an oatmeal Loro Piana cashmere/wool blend, made by Caliendo. It feels so luxurious to the touch and has decent weight too (11oz). It's bright and noticeable but at the same time I really like it because you can also definitely tell it's a winter garment rather than something you forgot to put away from the summer.

I'd been debating between those very two bracelets.
