I was comparing it to stuff like J Crew, Club Monaco, other mall brands in the range. I even had a GBV OCBD that I wasn't that impressed with. It was nicer than the Uniqlo but not enough to justify the price tag.

Haven't tried Kamakura and didn't even think about looking at Brooks Brothers. Their ESF shirts aren't that slim comparably and I figured their OCBDs wouldn't be any different.

You might want to consider giving Brooks Brothers another try. Some people might consider them a little too stodgy, but as far as I'm concerned, they make the best shirts on the market.

i got a brooks white/off-white linen shirt 2 years ago on sale for $45 or so and have ******* loved having it around. and you get some collar roll that u'll not get from uniqlo.

grana/uniqlo neck size talk: buy uniqlo, cut neck to size, wait for grana to restock.

You guys must see how this Uniqlo stores are always full here in China, competing directly to GAP and H&M. But I don't consider their stuff is much better.
OK probably any brand would be better than H&M shoes. Will never buy again!

These are great, and true to size (same size as uniqlo t's) is fine. Sizing up for me is okay but not as good. I just bought another 5 last night.

Tnhat's a bit weird, because Uniqlo's S is too tight on me, and an M is a good fit. However, on Grana's website I see that the model is almost 10CM higher than me and has a 32" waist (I'm 28") and a M looks loose on him. I'm a bit worried that if I order a bunch in M they will be too big.

I know it's a stretch, but can you maybe post a photo of how Grana's S/M compares to Uniqlo's S/M on you, if you have both?

P.S.

I emailed Grana and all colors and sizes will be restocked towards the beginning of July.

Do the selvedge jeans stretch at all in the waist?
There is a bit of stretch due to the spandex content but I wore them all day yesterday and did not find that they stretched out like normal Selvedge causing you to size down to account for it...

I tried their dry cotton polo shirt yesterday.
Did not like it.. very thin
the collars are a different material from the rest of the polo.
its very stiff and the texture is different. its as if they took a dress shirt collar and attached it to a stretchy polo shirt.

Well I can promise that you don't want to see me in S/M in Grana, Uniqlo or anything else as I would hulk right out of them!

I could show you the difference between Grana and Uniqlo in Large, but I don't know how useful that will be to you. For what it is worth, the Grana L is a bit slimmer and noticeably longer than the Uniqlo L. I can wear Grana L or XL although my latest order was all L. Uniqlo XL would look stupid on me.

Thanks for heads up on restock. I want some of their white scoop necks.
