Medium will probably be quite long, they are on me at least (same height), where small fits me better. I have a larger chest than you and the flannel shirts are a bit tight in a size small but the length works pretty well. Haven't tried with regular shirts in small though, only medium.

I should have been more clear. I'm looking at button down shirts, like the flannels and the slim fit dress shirts.
the cut of the slim fit dress shirts is different than the flannels, so you might even wear a different size in each. at your size the M flannel will be big i'd guess. but you know they have a fit guide with measurements and you can measure a shirt you have which fits well to compare.

I'm a 31 in all uniqlo stuff and tried both the 31 and 30 in the PBJ loose fit jeans and the 30 was the way to go, but still didn't keep it because, well, liked the skinny fit tapered denim better, but yea...it's the PBJ have a nice loose top block and high rise and a sharp taper and I think a lot of people look for that...

Yup. I normally wear 32 in Uniqlo (which usually measures 34"). 31 in PBJ (which fits even slightly loose at the waist still).

Basically the same but torso is a bit wider. I like it that way. Flannels have to be slouchy.

I find the cut strange. Like for guys with huge guts and skinny arms. The sleeves on mine are tight but then it flares out alot at the hip. I would have sized down but then there would be no way my arms would fit.
