Tried bunch of stuff today

cotton linen blend suit -- keeping this, very light weight and easy to wear with slip-ons and tshirt

Did you get it in black? I was thinking about this too, wanted to go see the colors in person.

I'll be picking up my order at the post office shortly so can do some quick fit pics of the black linen suit sometime today.

Edit: Nevermind, looks like I’ll have to wait till Monday

Brown, though it’s a very interesting shade with a subtle mauve.

@the shah Both runs of the +J stuff was legitimately good. It kept the general minimalism and styling of classic Jil, but at a lower price and the fabrics and finishing were actually better than the pricing suggested.
I just really can't get into UU. I've bought a few things every season but have only kept a terry long sleeve roll neck and some light wash jeans. I never wear the jeans and the roll neck is about as basic as things can get.
I honestly try and push the existence of UU out my brain.

I thrift a lot and when I come across a Uniqlo +J piece it's even held up well. Durable stuff too.

Did anybody try the wide fit long sleeve sweatshirt? I'm curious, but the semi-boatneck is giving me pause...

I bought the ecru sweatshirt. The boat neck wasn't that extreme (i.e. less than a breton). The shoulder seam was dropped like all the other U items, but otherwise I don't think it fits that wide.

I also got the pale denim stand collar shirts, and the beige dry touch sweater. The shirt is nice, and I may go back for the white cotton/linen. I would have got the rust long sleeve polo but it had sold out.

Didn't have time to try on any pants, and I'm skeptical they'd fit given how tall all the models in the look book are. I considered the brown jacket / suit but I probably have enough lightweight summer Uniqlo blazers at this point.

Surprisingly of all the things I've tried on, the sweatpants is my favorite even though i don't normally wear sweatpants outside of the house. Quality is great, very wide, and cropped. Selling out fast on the website too. Wearing small on the pic. I'm 5 ft 9.

Just put in a large Uniqlo Japan order. Mostly re-upping on basics. Realized I like Supima T shirts again, just sized up this time. Trying out their updated vintage chino and chino shorts fits. Got some of the canvas hats, as Uniqlo hats low key nice. Only two kops from the Uniqlo U collection, something about this season is a bit too precious for myself.

I dropped by a store today and ended up getting the drizzler jacket in purple. I wasn't really planning on it, but nothing else really appealed to me once I tried it on, and the drizzler was surprisingly nice. I like the lyocell blend and the color was really nice in person. I had a several vintage drizzler jackets over the years and I guess it appeals to me as a basic mild weather jacket.

Drizzler is like that “brown” Harrington jacket from a few seasons ago. Don’t sleep if it fits our wardrobe. Go with the “purple”.

Here's the cotton-linen suit in black with the olive checked long sleeve shirt. Sorry for the terrible photo.

Perfect beater (imo) - feels fairly utilitarian, and the black goes a way to masking the "cheapness" of the material. Super lightweight. I wish I had tried the suiting in previous seasons so I could compare the quality. Don't regret picking up full price and might even pick up another on sale just to have as a backup. Don't be fooled, it's still Uniqlo quality, but the cut is definitely there. Dress it up with a mainline Lemaire tee/shirt, some leather shoes/loafers and you'll have something halfway decent.

Does anyone know if this color for the military jersey shirt jacket is Japan only?

Pretty sure that's just the beige and it's color corrected/the sunlight is throwing the color off.
