For me it's a combination of:
- He never actually looks that good
- His outfits are always so beyond the pale over the top trendy as to be fairly offensive (visually)
- Everything about him seems contrived and lacklustre (at least with Wooster, one gets the idea he just does whatever, and isn't so into 'being seen')
- His writing is awful and painful to read
- He's a ******* poser

That last point is pretty much all you need to know. Just looking at that ******* outfit should tell you all you need to know. The slick back hair, the beard, the smoking while walking trying to appear "badass", the rolled up sleeves, colored socks, miltary watch strap and so much more... A ******* poser, as LonerMatt points out.
