Is this unstructured Golden Fleece suit within the realm of tailoring to fit? I've never owned something with no padding whatsoever so I'm not entirely sure--there's basting thread in the shoulders and with no padding/lining, perhaps surgery is easier.

I have pretty broad, square, and uneven shoulders (@Despos you probably don't remember, but when we met at a dinner at the Bristol many years ago, the first thing you said to me was "you must be hard to fit"). It is in my normal size, but it feels a little big.

Pants waist is much too big as not only am I usually a more than average drop, but I've also lost weight and put on some muscle mass during quarantine...

Was a crazy price and I like the color, so it would be nice if I could make it work, but otherwise it is returnable.

Major work. Unless you do a full recut, meaning taking off sleeves, collar and recutting the back you won’t get close enough to a good fit that looks right. Will be very hard to make the collar fit after squaring the shoulders.
Trousers may need a lot of work too.
If you do all that work there is no guarantee you’ll be pleased with the results or if it is worth the cost.

When I get RTW shirts (Ether dress or casual), they tend to be a little long on arms/wrist lengthwise for most brands.

Yesterday, I went to my tailor to get a couple of jackets that I've had sitting around in my closet for a couple of years tailored. Should I have brought one of my shirts with me to wear for the jacket(s) when he worked on them? As he is tailoring the sleeves?

I am afraid there will be a mismatch between the shirt and jacket where the cuffs will end up too short. Then again, are most experienced tailors doing their measurements from the actual wrist or the shirt one is wearing?

Better and more consistent to mark the jacket sleeves to a fixed point on your wrist. That point will not change. If the cuff circumference and sleeve length are different on your various shirts the results will be inconsistent. Some shirt sleeves will show more than others. Working form a fixed point on your wrist tells you if the jacket or the shirt is off and which one needs adjusting.

Dear all - I dropped off 3 Attolini jackets with a local bespoke tailor (very reputable) for handmade surgeon's cuffs. They originally quoted me "a few days", then the ETA turned into a week, then that turned into two weeks. Now, on the third week, they advised that the job was done. When I went in for pick-up, the job was done by a complete amateur, who I suspect did their very first buttonholes on my jacket. The job is likely the worst you'll ever find on the internet. Different widths, broken thread, lopsided stitching, etc. Also, this "tailor" as well caused minor damage to some of the finishing at the cuffs. They themselves said that someone completely new did the job, and apparently their house of all 3rd generation tailors did not even bother to QA 1 buttonhole.

For reference, they provided a picture of their work beforehand, which looked great. The end result is pure atrocity. I didn't take a picture to share because I didn't want my blood pressure to rise every time I see it.

Anyway.. they've offered to fix it for me with a more experienced tailor taking apart everything and re-doing, but I am unsure whether I should take them up on the offer, or bring it to another tailor that I know will do a fantastic job.

Could someone please advise you would proceed if you were in my shoes?

They still have all three blazers. The owner said they are willing to try and fix the issue when their usual buttonhole guy isn't sick anymore. I said the fellow can try to fix on sleeve first, then I will decide whether to proceed in order for them to repair them all.

If the fix on one of the sleeves is not good, then I'll post some pictures. And no, I am not really exaggerating how bad it is. The width of the buttonholes are different, some are crooked at the end, some are broken in the middle, and a few look like a complete mutilation.

Would you have left the blazers with them?

I personally would not change anything. There are minor things (slight sleeve rotation, tidy back), but may not be worth the risk of the (cheap or bad) tailor messing it up.
