that doesnt look like shell, more likely corrected grain. seller means cordovan as in 'cordovan' color I think
I am considering these wingtips from Enzo:
Being an oxford, and having such a chiseled last, does this shoe require a suit? I don't usually wear suits (and when I do I usually need to wear black shoes), so I'm wondering if I can wear these simply with dress slacks and dress shirt, sometimes with a tie, sometimes with a blazer...
Any guidance would be appreciated.

I think they're best suited for business casual (slacks/chinos, ocbd and a sportcoat/blazer of some sort)
All the brogueing lowers its formality (and some would say the shoe being in shell does that too).
Pretty versatile shoe I think.
