Third in a series of Armenian wines recently purchased during a trip there.

Cod Salmon and Scalops Fish Pie with green aspergus and this Pouilly Fumé. My taste pallet regarding this kind of wine is not there yet, but the combination is great! Not to overwhelming in taste, it matched the pie and aspergus nicely.

The wine advocate gave ´2010 (Suckling 100, RP 100, WS 97, WE 98) a 50-75 years drinking window.

Yeah, an odd one. The initial reviews tended towards it perhaps being too extracted/concentrated and more contemporaneous impressions are also generally of the "lots and lots of fruit, still rather primary" variety. I do see a couple of others finding it "muted" and "austere" as I did. Who knows? You win some, you lose some.

Infanticide surely but decanted this guy for about 2 hours, very very nice - can see how the critics have marked 2016 as a stellar year for Chateauneuf du Pape
