Don’t know if this was too old or too young. It smelled great and had a lucious mouthfeel (TWSS??). Second glass was better than first.

Definitely not too young, but Gallinotto has always been one of Mauro's more extracted/entry-level Barolos. It's got the backbone to age more but is an "immediate" style - fairly plush and ready to drink pretty early on even if 2013 was a more delicate iteration.

This is my favorite somewhat-reasonable ($60) Napa blend. Roughly equal parts cab, malbec, merlot and a splash of cab franc. It's ridiculously crushable, as the beer guys put it.

it's even sweating, just like me after white castle sliders
If all that happens to you is sweat, then consider yourself lucky

I was showing my 15 year old what his ghetto dad used to get up to when he was 15. Subway ride to the Skate Rink or Basketball court with the boys, followed up by a White Castle feast that would cost about $20 for 6-7 kids.

He took one bite and said it was disgusting, the little ingrate

Edit: also, I like a slight chill on my beauj

pshh, grease is the best flavor!

I'm not a fan of young beaujolais (the carbonic maceration gives it a bit of a zip thats off putting to me), but when it has a few years on it, it's amazing (especially given the price)
