Alright, been dreading this day but use it or lose it. These are the platonic ideal of a service boot: 2040 brown horsebutt, unlined. They're a size 9. I've been loathe to part with them since only munson lasts fit my feet and we're getting fewer and fewer options from Viberg, plus no MTOs means these are in my mind irreplaceable.

These were bought directly from Viberg in 2017, as you can see a little creasing but no real wear on the soles. I'd estimate <10 wears, if I wore them more often that I wouldn't be letting go.

Asking $650 + my shipping costs (boots will ship from Vancouver, BC). Will ship with original box and bags if that's something you're into or I can try to minimize packaging to keep shipping costs down.

I don’t own any Vibergs yet. I have a pair of Alden Unlined LHS loafers on the Van last in an 8.5. They fit slightly larger than I’d like and an 8 would probably have fit best now that I know. Any idea what size would match up best?

Difficult to say, and the answers is possibly none. I would recommend trying some on in person.

For what it’s worth, the same size in Alden Barrie, Plaza & Van works for me in Viberg lasts, slippers excepted. Those don’t work in any size.

For some help on sizing, here's what I wear for 8.5D/E brannock:
8 Trubalance indy boots
8E Barrie last boots
7.5 Van last loafers with no socks
8 2030 last viberg boots (bit tight on toes for new boots/corodvan)
7 2010 last (viberg slippers, bit tight on toes but suede slippers break in nicely)
