Black Label does have some fantastic pieces. I owned a cashmere/mohair crewneck sweater last year, and it was the softest sweater I've ever owned. Still, Giorgio Armani (black label) pieces are still a hit or miss, and their inconsistency would place them lower than other labels at the same pricepoint. their ultra lux line, if you can call it a line, Prive, is just ridiculous.

(I know there are some real gems on this thread, don't get me wrong... but I've seen some hideous ties and polos)

no, i only buy what i like. when i started last month i used o buy anything high end and that is a quick way to bring home rags.

like i passed up on a paul smith coat, and an armani tie last week because the coat was bright red (ugly) and the tie had holes in it and was ugly

Thats when I would hit these streaks with other experienced players and I would walk away with good chunks of change.

The thing was I played the same way and the chip count in the end was the same as before but of more value! It was a mental hurdle for me to move up to the $25 table. As always, cut your loses early!

If anyone is interested, I can share simple tips to improve your game.

Simple tips?

If you are not an expert card counter with a large bankroll and a knowledge of what kind of games are favorable........then you are a losing blackjack player in the long run. And the long run is the only one which matters.

This is off topic, but I hate to see mathematically challenged people give their money to casinos.

The other day I mentioned that I found a brand new H&M gingham check blazer at the thrift store with the price tag still attached. Today I took it into an H&M and returned it for store credit and got $145 on a gift card. Not bad considering I paid $7 for the jacket.

^^^ Bad thrifting karma may be coming your way. It might be just me, but I think its poor form to return something that you didn't actually buy retail and get the full retail amount.

This could actually be a pretty interesting discussion. I don't think I feel the same way as you, mainly because I don't really see any substantial harm to H+M (H+M already profited from the original owner, so the OP is abstractly acting as his agent by returning it himself). I've found NWT items before and it stupidly never occurred to me that I could actually go to JosABank and get something else: probably because they were decent slacks that fit me (although they are pleated, which isn't a deal-breaker for me as much as it is for others here, as I think they look just as good on me as FF pants).

Has this happened to anyone else? Thoughts, feelings, arcane common law ruminations?

I didnt really think it was something bad to do. The jacket was actually brand new with pockets and vent still sewn shut, so H&M will put it back out on their floor and sell it to the next guy who wants it.

I simply returned it for what the other guy paid for it. Its not like H&M is going to suffer at all because of it. If it doesnt sell again they will put it on sale for pretty much what I paid for it at the thrift store anyway.

I think bad thrifting karma would be if I had stolen the jacket from the thrift store, then returned it, but I paid what they were asking and a portion of that money will be donated to charity. I also plan to take all of the stuff I want to donate to that same store as well.

I found some douchebags' cache of 5 Armani ties squirriled away in the ladies accessories section of a local thrift. No doubt he was waiting for the stores announced half price sale this coming Saturday to pick up the ties exorbitantly priced at $2.99 on the (even) cheap(er).

I put them back where they belong and hung them on the rack prominently, labels faced out. Hopefully they'll all be gone by the time this sleaze comes back to save his extra $7 bucks.

Greedy people pisses me off.

I found these two NOS Michael Bruce by Harstan U.S.A ties, still sealed up!

Any ideas on what the emblem is and/or symbolizes?? Looks like some sort of lizard over a campfire.
