Story time!

Last week there was an estate sale that was 100+ miles away. Incredible assortment of stuff, like, better than any sale this year. Being so far away I called the host to see if I could get any info on pricing before making a 3 hour drive. They were very forthcoming and gave prices which were extravagant so I passed. After the two days of the sale ended, i called back and asked if there were any leftovers that I could make a deal on. It was a quick no and that was that. I thanked them for the time and being honest and said I hoped to be able to work with them in the future.

20m later my phone rings and they say, we have a lot left over but it’s not the real premium stuff you’re looking for, if you want a deal on that? I ask what brands and they say they are a very affluent couple and it’s mens and women’s that isn’t junk. So do I want to buy 400 pieces of clothing and 75 shoes for $2000 blind? Well, kind of hard to beat at that PPU so I said ******* and went. Greatest hits below plus 400 other solid pieces. PPU $4.20. 5 Hermès shoes are great. Brioni shoes are Lattanzi. Sweaters are all cashmere except the Yohji. And as is the rest but the vintage Mugler leather ensemble is blowing my damn mind.

Had a lot of pages to catch up on and my browser was taking forever to load the series of posts from @snackbandit. Well worth the wait — amazing finds!

Sheepishly posting yesterday’s pickups in the wake of multiple thread arsonists. A rack of button down shirts is probably the least interesting clothing section for me to look through, but I was happy to grab these two in my size. White is Oxford cloth, blue is linen: View attachment 1227519 View attachment 1227521 View attachment 1227522
Second Piccolo I’ve found this year, and pop on Alba.

I loved the Alba shirting I found, still hoping to find Piccolo

Spoo - no words needed. Clearly they wanted to just move it if they went right to $2k for items marked $75 and up each.

No doubt. And when you have the means to move it all at a more gradual pace than 3 days, totally solid deal! Just $15 average profit on the 400 ‘mediocre’ pieces gives a 200% / 4K extra in the pocket. (Yes, I know it’s more intricate than that. Still awesome. )

And so many other massive hits since I’ve been catching up. Stellar stuff.

Kind of, here in America we call them a soccer team. Real football would be the Seattle Seahawks :hide:

lol
American sports crack me up.
play a sport where feet arent used for 95% of the game they call it Football.
World Series only involves one country ,two if you count Blue Jays.
on the flip side "National " Basketball Assoc. involves more then one country making it International.
and what the hell is Soccer anyway, where did that term even come from.what is a "Socc" and why is it being "ered"

Soccer is an abbreviated form of the term Association Football, as in the Football Association of England.

Maybe the NFL could call their championship the Gray Cup, just to mess with you Canucks... :fence:
