Haha yes. Found this in the dining room. There’s a Laverda buried in the living room in front of the fireplace…

Long story short, I bought some old t-shirts from a garage sale back in the fall. Asked if they had more and the lady said she had more at her other property. She said she'd call me when she was ready to have me over to look at what was there because it was a mess. I told her I don't mind a mess, but whatever works. A few months passed and no call. I figured it was one of many who I never hear back from. No big deal. She actually called me recently to come and take a look and see what caught my eye. It was more a situation of what didn't catch my eye. She's selling it. I'm going back on Sunday to try and unearth it and see what kind of shape it's in.

the fairing is sitting on a paul mccobb shovel chair…
Haha, yes. There are 6 of those chairs. Lots of amazing art deco items as well. This stuff will hopefully be coming home with me on Sunday. I'll report back.
Nat, I clicked on your IG- RRL would repro these and sell them for $1k ea.

To hell with the motorcycle let's get our greasy eyeballs on that chair! What lies beneath that filthy towel.. Original patina, or horror?! Great spot @330CK

Unfortunately the house has been vacant for years, so condition is not exactly perfect. Still very salvagable, with a few that may clean up very nicely. I am hoping to get a better look on Sunday.

Oh man, that's a fantastic find! Can't wait to see how it looks. Might take a lot of work to restore, but it could be well worth it. They were great bikes in their day. I had a Laverda Jota for a short while back in Scotland in the 70s. Gobs of power for that era, but it was an odd bike. It was happy only at high speed, 80 or so, when it smoothed right out. But it had a kind of unsettling ride at slower speeds, so I got rid of it and bought a Kawasaki triple. Glad to be alive, lol.

That bike looks as though it's been sitting there so long that it may be all original, which would be vanishingly rare, and a magnet for collectors. This is going to be a great story, I hope . . . Congrats!

I swear I need to just live in different regions of North America for a few months.. year or two maybe and thrift to my heart's content in each.

One would be like Wisconsin, Indiana, Oklahoma etc "Midwest farm region" where everything is old, dirty and Made in USA. Then there's the Dallas / FW Area with the volume and highend labels, Impunturas Neighborhood for the jewelry and outerwear .. and then it's a toss up between Greenwich (pronounced Green Witch) CT for trad menswear or the deep south for antiques and pottery.. maybe both.

Hey guys some great finds from everyone this week.

Lots of reps here, and lots of coming up empty, and some nice variety in between.

Kicking some ideas around

Finds over the last few weeks. Patagonia pants are either very vintage I assume based on the size tag (only ever seen the tag in the worn wear store here in Chicago) or fake but the best fleece I have felt so definitely keepers. Winona knit sweater is the best of the haul even better than the cuci although that was a-thrifted for much more.
