Any help if these are real skin? They’re from a pair of fairly recent Bally loafers.

Easier to tell by handling, but they seem real to me. Embossed won't have the fine wrinkling in between the scales like that, and they do seem to vary in their looks - both signs of real skin.

It's a 'turntable' not a record player


When I was a kid I asked my mother what was the difference between a vase (vace) and a vase (vauze). With a straight face she quipped "A 'vauze' costs over $25"

I didn't even realize the joke til about 6 months later

No way dude, if you put the tuner on top it would spin around in circles and the wires would get all twisted.

Turns out the tape player needs some work, and the scope on the tuner is not functional. Rest is perfect though. Off to a repair shop, I guess.

Yes, it's an A2 style bomber. The sizing tag is ripped away, but measure to be a 40, if I'm not mistaken. I updated the above photos just now, with some more pics.

Pit to pit is 22.5", shoulders across back are 19.5", 27.25" in length, sleeve is 27". Anyone care to hazard a guess as to its size?

I've only ever found Vanson once, a liner vest. I didn't even know they made bombers.
