Was it someone on here who said they had access to quality face masks? I’m trying to source a small amount for myself and my employees that aren’t being given the option to shelter at home (unpaid we can, but let’s be real, I can’t afford that right now). I’ll gladly pay a fair price if whoever it was has some still. PM me deets!

On line auction for Doris Mary Anne Kappelhoff aka "Doris Day", her son, Terry Melcher,a record producer, turned down aspiring singer Charles Manson and was so freaked out he moved out of his rental house which unknowingly was rented by Roman Polanski and Sharon Tate. Of course the Tarantino version has a ***** ending

Okay so while I am working from home I do have plenty of extra time usually spent driving around to thrift stores. Hoping to involve some of you in my grenadine tie collection pursuit. I have become a big fan of grenadines and for their versatility and refined look.
I currently have a nice group acquired over the years from thrift stores, NMWA, NMLC clearance and trading with some of you. Here is my current collection.

so first question, are we sure these are all grenadines? I am positive on most but unsure on the Tom fords.
Next, thinking of what else I may want to add. Sam Hober has a real nice corn yellow now that I think I have the basics covered. What do you guys think of grenadines? What colors that I don’t have do you think I should pursue? My wardrobe is generally casual with odd trousers and sport coat instead of suits.
also, do any of you have any nice colors I am missing and be interested in trading for some other non grenadine ties in my collection. Hoping to spark a little conversation while we cannot thrift as this is always my favorite thread.

You scored some nice ties. I will reach out after stay home lifted. Over in McKinney the city is very serious to the point of fines.

okay so I learned something already. I believe I got that from va230815 although I may be mixing that up. Could that be right?
did not know it was a vanda. And if so, is my first one.

I cant remember who I sold that to originally but it may have been him. That was one of Vanda's earliest ties that I helped test drive for him while he was getting ready to launch the brand. I loved that tie.

also the brown tom ford, the Bigi, and the tie your tie are not Grenadines.

Well, I was unsure of the TF although it is still a beautiful tie but I bought the other two from NMWA and the biggie is listed as maroon fine grenadine silk and cashmere tie hand rolled and untitled and the tie your tie is listed as navy fine grenadine silk tie, hand rolled and untipped. Was I misunderstanding the wording?

My bad, that was me looking at my phone, didnt zoom in. The bigi definitely is gren. The Tie your tie doesnt look like a standard one to me but if greg said so!

Either way, they are gren like and fulfill the same purpose for me, just as the TF does. So no problem. Not like anyone I know would even know what a grenadine tie is. Hell, most of them probably don’t even own a tie. So anyone else have some gren color suggestions? Likes or dislikes of certain makers? Have some they want to trade?

Real or fugazi? Flipable? I will most certainly not be able to wear that. Current bid is around 5 dollars or so. If someone here wants it I can try to get it for you.
