1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Scored this perfect fitting formal tail coat today from December 1909. Impeccable condition. I stopped in
to another thrift to show my friend who volunteers (she turned 98 yesterday) she told me I should wear it
and that it will bring people happiness to see it. I probably will. :)

Yep, sounds like all the Goodwill stores in my area. A new rack rolled out at one store and 8 women pounced on it. One woman ripped a shirt right out of a worker's hand, who was on the other side of the rack and trying to put stuff away. Heard him mumble a few choice words and then storm off.

    Something I didn't thrift:

Hardly a big name, but it was my size and was quite nice. It made it all the way to the half-off color tag sale, so I figured I'd pick it up on Monday when it was down to $1.87... missed the boat. Now I'm kicking myself for not grabbing it while I had the chance.

This one made me happy and sad in equal measure...

I know buying suits with four holes in them and a busted trouser pocket is ill-advised, but something tells me this is the exception to the rule -- especially at $20.

I think my favorite part is that the Ebay valet wouldn't even qualify as a top rated seller...

Thanks for the input! It's really well-made and very interesting. I took a look at their Facebook page and they have a lot of neat stuff. Hunting-inspired was my first thought as well. I believe it's an EU 50 and available if you're interested, but if I remember correctly, you're in the 46 range.

    Thanks again for the input!

I would have happily taken a gamble on it if he had said €20, but I knew I was out of my element at €300. I was really hoping it would have been one of those cool things that you and the other audiophiles post. Thanks for the help and explanation, I'll still keep checking things out and wait for something cool! Really appreciate the time you take to answer these type of questions!

Question: By "Collard", do they mean the cause of the stains?

A spelling error they have made in 80 of their current listings.

    To whomever draws my name:

I'm happy with anything. Send me cool stuff I'd wear: shirts, ties, pocket squares, etc. Make it easy on yourself. I also sell stuff, so if you don't have anything you think would work, I'd be happy with something to list.

I can always use small things like thin waxed laces (can never have enough black/brown), polish, and other shoe care supplies.

Don't feel the need to limit yourself to clothes, happy to get anything you think is cool. Someone mentioned dog stuff, and I'd be thrilled with a dog toy for my buddy. TK/TJ Maxx is a great place to get dog stuff. I'd also be happy with any knick-knacks that you see out and about. Finally, if all else fails, fashion books are something I'd take. Go through Amazon and get the cheapest of what's available..."acceptable" condition is no problem.

Whatever you do, don't stress. Keep it simple and I'll be happy with whatever you happen to send! Thanks in advance for any and all thought you put into it!

Oh, edited to add: I love Chick-fil-a sauce. Should you happen to have one nearby, picking up some of that sauce would be perfect. Don't travel too far to find it though!

$100? No way. More like at least $250

Im not even sure a box weave could fill that large hole, which would still be noticeable given the POW pattern. I particularly wouldn't have picked it up but to each its own
