Recent odds & ends...

Sunspel riviera polo. I think this is the Bond shirt, but there’s no pocket on the front. Did the Bond shirt have a pocket, @JohnAAG ?

Wool/linen/silk, my favorite fabric composition.

Funny that I just mentioned Derek Rose in my last post, because I immediate found these. Maybe I should try that again. They aren’t Tom Ford, but they’ll do.

In fact, they’re very Riviera-styled, would probably work with the Sunspel.

I doubt these are anything, but they were only €2.00. Levi 511, made in Turkey.

These were the same price and new to me.

I also grabbed this vintage version of Monopoly. I have a couple of versions, but not one from Piatnik. Piatnik is an Austria card and game maker from Vienna. I always grab their old, ornate playing cards whenever I find them at the right price.

Not crazy about the choice of low and high value properties, but it’s in great condition.

Yes, the one used in the film has a chest pocket. Sunspel designed the Riviera model specifically for Casino Royale (in case anyone is interested )

Interesting! It’s a great fabric, I’m going to pick up a navy in my size before the summer. Does this model come without the pocket? Just googled it and can’t seem to find it.

No, the Riviera polos always have the pocket, even the long sleeve polo. It also has a unique mesh weave (IIRC it was made on lace machines, but don't quote me on that). The fabric looks similar to what you have, but the weave on yours looks more open. I really like the one you got, by the way!

If you're looking for a Riviera, Sunspel sometimes has sales. Otherwise, the cheapest price I consistently see is at End Clothing. That's where I bought mine. They're 110 euros on the Sunspel site and 105 euros on the End site.

e-thrift arrived, kind of not, as over the 10% rule just slightly (I think) but a mint condition, Seraphin-made Hermes, laser printed, French cuffed, unlined lambskin leather shirt. For myself. Yowza.

Thanks for the great info! This fabric is incredibly light and see-through when held to the light. I’ll keep an eye out for sales as we get into spring. I’m also going to hunt for a linen/cotton polo where the collar doesn’t curl or flatten.
