Nothing to brag about - left a naff Paul &Shark striped OCBD and a suspect Burberry ("Made in Londod") on the racks last night. Instead, some random thoughts from a Sally Anne on the outskirts of a G8 capital:

- Working at a thrift store is a tough job. So many lonely people, some slightly unhinged, who want to take up your time. The best staffers seem to be equal parts counsellor, inventory control guru, loss-prevention officer and sympathetic shoulder to cry on.

- I see those fabric labels sewn into the necks of shirts and sweaters ("Robert Thieverge Room 215") and my late grandparents come to mind. I imagine false teeth and twinkling eyes, resting in a comfy armchair next to a sunny window, waiting for family to visit.

- Anyone ever look up the people who commission the custom suits we find? So far I've found a Superior Court justice-turned-mediator, a co-founder of a boutique investment firm, and a founder of a social CRM firm (all Sammys, btw - the justice's fits me perfectly).

Just had a guy message me after paying for a tie that I screwed him on import costs and he wanted a refund. Like I have any control over gsp. Just cancelled the sale.
