i finally caught up with this thread, i've been waaaaaay behind for far too long.
you guys are amazing and encourage me to keep hitting the stores. thank you everyone for sharing your finds.
i love/hate seeing what the san diego members post. sad to know i missed out, encouraged to know there's so much treasures to be found.
i still thrift 4-5 times a week, 3 favorites from the last few days.
ps, i miss the thrift scavenger hunts.

thrift had these crazy over prized. they cut the prize in half, i scooped them up yesterday.

i love polo and fun shirts

reason i love this one so much is because its a miny me!!! we have a 9 year old daughter and i have no reason to keep this. i even took the pictures to list it on the bay, but backed out at the last minute. i've decided to frame it and hang it at work. because its so awesome.

happy 4th gentlemen.

4th of July thrift fit Neon MGD SnapBack: thrift $3 Mirrored shades: thrift $1 Paradise found magnum PI shirt: thrift $2.50 "Try burning this one, asshole" tee: thrift $1.00 100% all American corn fed beard: priceless
That tee still needs a comma. Thrift fit synergy. @ home, listing. always check ebay completed listings for similar keywords.
Treble thrift fit synergy. Mrs. Ace wasn't happy when I put it on, even less so when it became clear that I intended to wear it in public.

Happy 4th folks! Thanks for the warm welcome and I apologize for not responding to everybody who said hi but I didn't want to spam the thread. Went out today to the only place I knew was open. I was minding my business and going through the suits when I noticed one of the employees clearing items off the racks. Apparently they clear a particular color tag every now and again and today was the day. It was frustrating to say the least. I wanted the guy to follow behind me but he kept going to other racks and every time he had an arm full of suits I'd stop him and ask to go through it. I'm pretty sure he hates me.

Finally I just asked him if it was ok if I cleared the racks for him and he jumped on that idea so I ended up working for my supper. Unfortunately, they had already cleared the pants and this place is the mother of all orphans. At least 50% of the suits I've found is because I found the jacket and then went and spent 30 minutes to an hour going through the pants. So here are the things I found while searching on my own and while clearing the "dead" stock.

Sorry about the pic quality but I live in a typical NY apartment so once the sun starts to set it gets dark in my place.

First I found 3 brands that I'd never heard of before and even Google couldn't help so I picked them up just in case.

I also dig this jacket so wasn't overly concerned about the brand. It has a lot more red in it than the pic shows.

I did find two articles that I was a least somewhat familiar with, Polo and AllSaints (only because I watched an auction for one so knew it was popular).

Polo linen jacket. Made in China.

I had literally worked and searched for about an hour and a half when we finally finished. I went back to leisurely searching what was left when the guy returned with a few items from a recent drop. I followed him to the rack he was putting them on and then pushed him aside waited patiently until he was done.

And another beautiful jacket that I had never heard of before. Unfortunately the pic doesn't do it justice. It's a very nice sand color with MOP buttons.

After checking Google I found that it retails for around $900 so it was a pretty lucky find.

To celebrate I bought this...

I can't explain why I considered that a celebration.

Everybody here knows what a Boglioli is and I've never heard of it in my life. This is why I have a Mophie case on my phone. I spend my entire time at thrift stores on Google, SF and eBay just to figure out what the brands are...lol.

In time, you will learn more and more brands and will rely less on your phone. Believe me, I still keep my phone with me and use it often. But, your instincts will drastically improve with time and repetition. Keep up the awesome work. That Boglioli is a solid find!

@David P70 Me too... I throw a bunch of stuff in my cart as I go, if it feels good or looks interesting. Then my daughter and I camp at the back of the store, inspect them, and search brands and items on eBay etc. About 33‰ still don't make one of the cuts. Still have problems with the Italian Z names... Zanella, zanieri, zileri... I used to just grab them all. And each time I'm out I learn more than one new brand or thing. Never found a boglioli yet...
