1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Ok, I'm down. I've got the day off from work, the only problem would be actually getting there.

My girlfriend might go in which case it's no problem, but if not I would have to MARC train it down or carpool with someone from Bmore.

If anyone is open to the idea of a carpool with compensation (say 50 bucks? ) let me know!

    is it 18 and over?

No, it's all ages so if you are under 18 you are welcome too.

i might go, but i need a place to stay.

I have a guestroom I would offer but it's in Baltimore :p Depending on how the night goes I might just say fuck it and get a hotel room in DC.

Holy shit, that is one nice sale. I'd be in the doghouse if I ditched the wife and baby for the night to party in DC with Internet strangers and buy new jeans, though. [IMG]

Would the discount work for SF members who phone in during the party [says the guy all the way up in NY]?

Any carpool ideas from Bmore? Compensation would be available. Takign the MARC down there is easy. Its coming back late thats the ass kicker.

I'm with you on this one, I'm looking for someone to carpool with too and will be willing to compensate nicely.

MARC simply wouldn't work because, well, the whole not running on Saturday thing puts a crimp on things.

Our only real options are carpooling with compensation or renting a car.

Madgrad - the party is Friday, not Saturday. You shouldn't have a problem catching a train down.

I work near Columbia, MD but I live near Towson, MD. I leave work at 5pm and considering DC traffic on a Friday rush hour I don't plan on going home before heading down to DB. I'll probably just change at work.

So, I can't really give anyone a ride down but I could probably give people a ride back up to Baltimore afterwards unless you totally creep me out hahaha

Arlington is about 5.5 hrs from me but I'm curious to meet some SF folks. I might show up, if it's all right if I don't buy jeans or drink beer ... I'm currently kinda broke and on the wagon. I'll also have to find a place to crash, lol. So yeah, not bringing a lot to the table.

But it'd probably a fun alternative to playing in a Magic: the Gathering qualifier that weekend. [IMG]

I'd say come on down and sip cranberry juice (subtle "The Departed" joke)
