@exitstrategy, does this mean that only the women's RRL denim were on sale for $50?

Yeah I guess they are all women's...even though they were in the men's section on a rack with other men's clothing...I did find it weird that they went up to size 38

I'm wondering if anyone has actually tried on the women's jeans and determined whether the fit is any different from the men's. I'd imagine it would be pretty obvious that there's something different. I haven't seen any in my size, so never even thought about it.

That is, unless you're already wearing them, Osadolor...

i called woodbury and the SA told me they were men's denim, not women. but he didnt actually go and check. i was contemplating making a trip out there tomorrow, but not for ******* womens denim. in the photo u posted, i compared it to mine and couldnt tell the difference. i know someone mentioned that the pocket is smaller, can you (or anyone) post a side by side comparison?

I don't wear women's clothing.

But on those jeans, the front pockets are not as deep. They're shorter. That's one way to tell they're women's. I've actually had that same pair I'm my hand so I know. There also isn't a men's slim fit in that wash. If so, not recently.

And yes, 38 waist actually. I buy 40s because of the thigh factor. I have a linebacker body, so I'm bulkier without even trying so skinny jeans are a no no

I tried the search function but couldn't find a definite answer...

I picked up a pair of the Selvedge Officer Chinos in a 33 waist. They fit me perfectly through the seat, legs and thighs but are a quite a bit loose in the waist. Do these shrink any on washing or should I consider just having them taken in a bit?

I just got a pair of Slim Fit in Grey and am damn impressed. The fit is a good mix of comfort and looks and the quality is really apparent. I have Roys, APC NS and a couple of pairs of Iron Hearts and the RRLs are holding their own.

That said, this is one tough brand to buy online. The sizing is all over the place! I bought some 30 waist shorts, 29 waist chinos and 29X32 Slim Fits. The shorts felt like 32 and even 33, the chinos were 31 or maybe 32 but the jeans were 30. So then I tried on a selvedge oxford shirt thinking I'd need an XS since RRL seemed to LOVE vanity sizing to the max and I'm a Small in J Crew Slim. Nope....a small was actually almost too tight. Is this the rule of thumb for RRL...true to size or even size up on the tops and size down 2-3 on most bottoms?

Depends on what bottoms, but yes on the tops, IME anyways. I tend to be an XL and I am more often than not an XL in RRL tops (maybe between an XL and XXL, but XXL is so huge I go XL), unless it's vintage, in which case I go pretty much L (even medium sometimes).

It's been posted before, but I love this shirt and need to get my hands on one in my size (great price to):
