If you want an unsolicited sale recommendation...highly recommend this double faced indigo striped shirt, been wearing it regularly this past fall...very lightweight...quickly became a favorite....:

Thanks for this recommendation. Is the material a 'sateen' for the lack of a better word? The website pics seem to have a bit of a sheen and that's kept me from seriously considering it (but everyone knows how well the website pics represent the actual item). Thanks for the information!

Yeah, sale is somewhat uninspired. This is definitely a new strategy than in the past.........

What makes this shirt special is the color, hard to describe it's unique mix of indigo, gray, green in a slight neppy pattern. Very happy to have it. Highly recommended.

No it’s not sateen (i have some of their sateen shirts and like them as well). The material is not sheeny but it’s not twill or flannel either. Even though it’s double faced ...it’s very light weight ... yet keeps it’s deep indigo color with subtle stripes... it’s a unique great addition to the wardrobe...

Interesting how the USA always gets a sale thanksgiving / Black Friday and the European website actually excludes all RRL purchases from any discount or sale status until end of season.

Are you from EU? I just checked as well and I think only US has sales on Matches so EU gets fucked, which is even more tedious because I'm pretty sure Matchesfashion is in the UK. Same deal als Mr. Porter.

Hard life for RRL enthusiastic living in EU... Never understood why they see EU as a not interesting market place...

Doesn't this have to do with EU or country laws regarding sales? I know in the past in Germany, for example, sales were restricted to just a couple of times per year. I think it was the same in certain other European countries. Anyhow, Americans are much more conditioned than Europeans to expect frequent sales.

Mr Porter and Matches sales, at least for the UK, usually happen a couple weeks after they do in the US, though I am not sure if they have different stock for each region.

I would say they have different stock for each region for sure. And that one in EU is much poorer...
