thanks man, i agree the heel is a bit much, but also problem is that the boots arent worth 700+ imo, i am at this point not interested in going over 500 for shoes

On what basis are they not worth over 700, other than your personal preferences?

Brad, other than me stating that its "my opinon", the shoe brand isnt as well known as the others discussed in this thread, moreover there are other options in the price range (if you look hard enough), but as i said my opinion

Sinnedk - they're supposedly high quality hand made. there's more info on SZ and you can find out more about their footwear being made by small artisan shop in Italy. As for pricing, $700 for a pair of horse leather boots is good price imo.

the love of brand gets doesn't necessarily translate to quality footwear. Guidi for example obviously has a large following, and is high quality stuff but on the other hand there's also rick owens who has some of the worst quality shoes for the price, yet a loyal fanbase (I own 2 pairs lol).

In Aische is quality stuff, both in design and construction. The boots are really well made, I wouldn't have a problem putting them up there with the big boys, especially when we have even CCP **** with issues even. Having said that I wouldn't pay retail because I would just capitalize on other people who share your misguided opinion and wait for someone to sell them used for really low, which has happened but not my size ;/

I want to ask in here

Just received a pair of F+B 745. Previous owner says about 5 wears.

The heel says otherwise but perhaps he wore them pretty hard as the heel is starting to slant off at the back.

How should I treat them i.e. throw on a coat of oil for the leather? The leather still squeaks so I am guessing it's still fresh.
Going to take them into the cobbler tomorrow to get them cleaned up and resoled probably.

You can have your cobbler add a rubber tap after the rubber heel if you want:

I'm not sure what vibram model, I'm quite sure they are pretty standard- Those were done by Firm in NYC, I usually just ship my boots to him.
