I have 3 pairs of Kearns' sneakers, they're as quirky as they come and I love everything about them. What's wild if you've never handled a pair is how lightweight they are, literally almost as light as a pair of Nike sneakers in the same size/silhouette.

I really wish I can try on a pair in USA thats my main problem I cant see them in person.

Those own pair of Layer-O blood red reverse shell cordovans, what have you all used to nourish the leather without darkening it? I used a small amount of Saphir Creme Universelle(Lanolin, Beeswax & Jojoba) and it appears to have made the spot a little darker. Let me know. I don't want these to feel like pricey cardboard. Thank you.

honestly nothing man, I just wiped with damp cloth and brushed.

I normally use otterwax oil which is natural and I think no matter what it will darken the color a bit although I recently liked my brown s Cordovan r boots and it they look the same.

Thanks man. That is what others have said. They don't recommend anything on it. Is there a "nap" on your pair to give it a brush up? Mine is pretty smooth.

That vamp and shaft is a little nappy on my pair. I tested on a corner and it darkened. It is lined with calf leather so applying anything inside to work the shell is not gonna do anything either. Might drop Alessio a line and see what he has got to say.

maybe ask in the shoe care thread?

why do you need to condition now, are they dry or something

The store where you got them might have advice (or might be able to get advice from L0)? I should probably think about that for my L0, actually.

L0 would be the best imo

Dropped a post on SZ shoe care thread. Lets see what those guys have to say.

It has been years since I did anything with this pair as far as shoe care goes and where I live(tropical), leather tends to get dry & stiff. A piece of uncut shell cordovan leather that was stored with this pair went dry like cardboard. Not gonna take any chance with the footwear. I would rather have the leather supple and soft and not worry about it "cracking" along the creases. The scarring on my pair is along where the leather naturally folds.

Yeah but most stores know jackshit to be honest. I am guessing PNP and a few others probably will have a word with Alessio and get back. Eck, any idea mate?
