I know some of you will think this just plain wrong, but I wore these SW Commando Boots today with a charcoal suit and tie. I had a court appearance and then lunch with a group of clients/commercial bankers. I think it made for a great look.

Guys I swear they showed up that way. Might helped as the tracking delivery and my call where only minutes apart. I agree that they would look that way after I walked down the street. I just want to be that guy. Also I like them to crease where my foot wants it not there's. It was above and beyond for Jcrew and I recognize that

I would rate #8 nsts as more versatile than these (color 8 saddles). Get them nsts, hunt for the saddles later.

I intend to snag the NSTs fairly soon!

MRDV - I like your saddles.

I too would recommend the 2210 before the 994. But certainly get both eventually.

Thanks SevenFTG. It's nice to have such friendly and supportive gurus such yourself and MrDV at hand. Will post pics while I finally acquire the King NSTs.

Here are the pics that I promised. I just found out another defects. The shoe lace on the right shoe is not alighted correctly. BUT I only found out after I started trying them on at home and already have small signs of wearing. Now should I call alden SF to send it back or just keep it?

How do they look when on and laced? I can see in your top picture that the bluchering is off. Might not hurt to send SF a picture.

I've done this a few times with those exact boots. Worked great.

They look off.

I guess I'll send Alden SF a picture of it and see what they say about it. I was too excited to pop my feet in and not even thinking about it until later....Darn it.

I guess this is what happens when you are so happy to see your first Alden...

+1, wore my J Crew PCTs today. Mighty fine boot and will last forever, so don't worry about putting some miles on them!
