I have to add Yenni at JGilbert as being great to work with.+1. Of all the Alden retailers I've dealt with, Unionmade was easily the best to deal with and most customer-friendly. Easily.
I went through a similar search a while back and couldn't find what I was looking for. Leffot had a lined "light colored" suede chukka last time I checked in a few sizes. In the end I went for an unlined tan suede chukka on the Leydon last (flex sole) from Alden SF and couldn't be happier.
Thanks roguls, I suspect you're correct. The haziness disappears with the damp cloth. It just returns as soon as I start wearing them again. I'll wipe and brush and hope it helps.DV, stop treating them. Just wipe them with a damp cloth and brush them to death. From your description, they may be saturated with oils....
Thanks uncle Mac. Nice 990s, yours look great.[/SPOILER] nephew, you are too harsh on yourself, your king ptb look good to me
Rtp, beautiful shoes sir.
Tif, you should try to get to a store to try them on.I have the same question. I think Aberdeen will be my next shoe. NST of course!!!

Thank you kindly my friend!Rtp, beautiful shoes sir.
I have the same haziness issue with my color 8 LWBs. I applied Saphyr Cordovan creme a couple of years ago and it has never been the same. Still looks good, but not like my other color 8 shoes.
Awesome shoes. BTW, that website is fantastic! I love the descriptions of who bought the shoes on display... "SOLD to an Italian gentleman" "reserved for Mr. H.D., South Africa"Just took delivery of these Shell #8 x Pebble Grain Saddles from Leffot. Total beauts. Here are piccies:
They reminded me a bit of these vintage Alden's:
