Dear Friends,
My Whiskey (old Ravello) PTBs have finally arrived! I looked them over twice and they are in fact my size!

This was a really small run (12 pairs) at Alden SF and I was very lucky that they had one in my size. Here are a few pics right out the box.

And another pic next to their Ravello (old cigar) LWB brother.

I can't wait for Whiskey Wednesday! Happy New Year everyone!
good for you, they look great.

+1.

I'm sure that the poster was not aware, but posting links to items that you are selling on eBay is against the rules.

Also, hard to tell from the pics, but I am not even sure those are cordovan. Looks a bit more like CXL, no? I think I see some nicks on the sole edge too. Are you sure they are brand new?

Wow, we've got a tough anti-anglo crowd here. Ebay spamming is definitely against the rules, but they look to be legitimate color 8/snuff suede saddles; the saddles I have been pining over for years!

^^^ I was just kidding with you Bakes. You were correct on all counts. I guess part of me is hoping these babies are close to the ones I've been drooling over when DV posts pics of his J Crew version. I'm assuming they are built on the barrie last but I'm not sure.

Can anyone help me with sizing... I wear 10D for barrie lasted shoes and this pair of saddles is UK9. Will they be too small??

Thanks in advance...

When I bought a pair of the Horween CDBs from End Clothing, they were marked inside as 10 UK and 10.5 US. This leads me to believe (and Zappos to confirms) that UK is usually a half size off from US. That is, that 9UK will be a 9.5US. Sorry RTP.

I also had an instant curiosity about these. The UK9 translates to a US 9.5. The shoes look like Barrie, which would make them 1/2 size too large for me. I reached out to the seller shortly after I saw the listing in SF to confirm but haven't heard back.

Come on RTP. You know how sensitive I can be.

It doesn't take much. One wrong comment and I'm all

Gentlemen, I know this may come across as a bit snarky and offensive and I really, truly do not mean it as such (and came close to deleting this without sending it), but to the extent we are going to try to enforce a rule against posting links to your own stuff for sale, I really think that then discussing those items (e.g.,, how nice those items are or are not, etc.) really just promotes sellers posting their things. The threat of a ban probably does very little to counterbalance the attention being given. That said, it seems to be a "slow news day" here, so perhaps any content is better than silence. Just my thoughts. In an ideal world, any such prohibited messages would get one response politely advising against the practice, and then be ignored.

Again, not to chastise, berate, try to restrict conversation, etc.
