I think I've narrowed it down to these three pair since they all have the required commandos. Which do you think would be the best pick? will be wearing with jeans primarily.

I'd go with either the top or bottom pair, I have the top pair and really like them. The cap toe boot is a little classier looking as opposed to the Indy, so that may factor in....

I vote the middle ones. Where are those from?

I like the middle ones - I actually tried them on at Shoe Mart. One very sharp boot - a little narrow for me though, and they don't have speed hooks..

Since you're mostly going to be wearing with jeans, I'd go with either the top or bottom. The eyelets are too dressy on the middle boots for jeans, and you don't need to worry about the speed hooks catching on the inside seem of your pants. If you would wear dress pants more often I'd go middle...they're nice.

Love the fold wallet. Picked one up on my last trip to NYC. I had Steven fold it for me, and he did it perfectly.

Assorted goodies, some shoe related

Top left is Leffot natural cordovan "fold" wallet, large
Top right is Leffot shoe horn (I went back on my own advice, it's real horn and only cost $35)
Bottom left is Acqua di Parma shaving cream
Bottom middle is a new tub of Saphir Reno
Bottom right is some Proraso pre/after shave treatment
Good thing the C.O. Bigelow pharmacy is a few steps from Leffot, made the errands easy today

Rents (Renton really, but I was a huge Irving Welsch fan in college), you may want to consider keeping the shoe, as its a rare size and you may have to wait a LONG time for another. If it is a shallow scratch, its something that could happen after just one wear. Unless you think it could potentially become a shoe breaker, I'd keep em, maybe try sending an email to ask for a discount if they don't have a replacement in your size?

The shoe is gorgeous. Period. Wear it. Love it. Eat, drink and be merry in this shoe. It's awesome. Nordstrom (love this store. I am from Seattle) hemmed my Eternal 811s with a plain black! back stitch! vice a chainstitch...I assumed they understood...not...So, I was mortified and walked around the mall thinking everyone was noticing my plain black back stitch - "how foollish is that guy!" Turns out, no one said anything, wife brought me back from the ledge and I continue to search for someone in DC that understands chain stitch. Single malt helps too. Love the jeans and wear them with reckless abandon.

My point is no one will notice but you and all the other posts are correct, you'll work out the scratch and LOVE THIS SHOE! I will learn to live with my back black back stitch (wtf!) and move on. As Uncle Mac would say, "Enjoy wearing!"

Wore my new whiskey LWBs the other day.

It was a difficult thing to do since that meant removing them from beneath my Sherlock Holmes detector magnifying glass and putting them way down on my feet where it is very hard for me to see any flaws in the stitching or punching or welting or finish. :)
Seriously, that scratch we've all been reading about is very unfortunate, Renton, on a pair of shoes you've been waiting for and that will be very hard to replace in any timely manner. Sorry to see it and it would bother me, though I'm not sure what I'd do in your place. Hope you can work it out to your satisfaction.

Thanks to everyone for the advice and after mulling it over, I'm in the middle of day one of the Mac break-in method.
