9E will fit wider.

I don't think so, depends on your foot. I can wear a 9.5D but cannot wear a 9E (too short).

Not really. 9E is shorter and wider. If a 9.5D is already long on your feet in Barrie (which may be the case for a lot of people), a 9E could work.

When I first got into the Alden game, I wore 10D. After getting measured, I figured out 9.5E was the correct widely available size for me in Barrie. I have not purchased any D width Alden since.

Thanks guys. The 9.5D on the modified last is perfect, but the 9.5D on Barrie has plenty of room (clunkier) in the toe - width is okay. I'm hoping this 9E does the trick. My only issue is that I'm at the low end of D towards C in most shoes, anyway.

It was a spur-of-the-moment Ravello LWB that happened to be in stock. We'll know tomorrow!

I did the opposite doing the Ravello and not Cigar. I haven't heard anything. A friend of mine is on both and only heard about Cigar. Yes, the orders went in around the same time.

My Cigars are on it's way to LA and will post pics once they arrive. Adam let me know that "best guess' estimate for the Ravello is October.

Leffot also sent the #8 LWB my way again after Alden reworked the spotty antique edge and will post results when I get those later this week.

Direct sunlight (second pic) really shoes off the richness of its color!
