Just called. I was told nothing in 10 or 10.5.Fyi, Citi Shoes in NYC has Whiskey LWB's, happy hunting
j gilbert has navy suede chukkas as does unionmade.besides Alden Madison (don't have my size), who has navy suede chukkas?
Hate to ...but damn!! These so stunning. For me, they fall in the top three shoes/boots in the thread...or any thread!
And another nicely composed birds eye shot.
j gilbert has navy suede chukkas as does unionmade.
Edit: I just saw the follow-up post with the ever-important information that you are looking for an "e" width. That knocks out unionmade, which only orders in "d" widths. The J Gilbert model was also a make-up and, typically, to get an "e" width, you have to pre-order the required size. You should check to see if J gilbert has your size, but they may not have many "e" widths.
That's a brave first pair of Alden ! To be honest I'm surprised at how great those look in the wild.
Whiskey PTB from Alden DC, along with my other PTBs.
Some shots of ravello boots, taken back when they were new:
Breaking in my first pair of Aldens today. Color #8 Plaza last slip-on chukka from LS. I still have a long way to go as far as Mac-ing them. Not everyone's cup of tea, I realize, but I'm pleased with them. Next week my second pair (Whiskey NSTs) arrive!
I thought those shoes were hideous looking Frankenshoes when I saw them on the LS website but when I saw them in person at the DC store my mind was completely changed. If they had had them in my size when I was in town I would have had a hard time resisting them. That's a brave first pair of Alden ! To be honest I'm surprised at how great those look in the wild.
I don't have this issue on my chukka's but I did on my whiskey LHS's. Heel pad solved the problem. Welcome to the most addictive habit since , well, other addictive habits. It is a phenomenon that I can't begin to explain.
Saphir Cordovan Cream in Neutral infuses very much moisture into shell. More so than Reno/Venetian. I have all 3. It is said that it will temporarily darken whiskey, but that once it dries it will return to its original shade. For this reason, I hesitate to suggest it for your situation. All that I can attest to is that the stuff really moisturizes.
No. It's be disputed repeatedly on here. Nobody has been able to offer any concrete evidence that it has adverse effects. The best that has been offered is theorization.
You should get the Lexol wipes for your leather furniture. I know that doesn't help you use up your VSC.
Reno vs VSC has been debated repeatedly on this thread. Nobody has been able to offer any proof that one is superior to the other. One smells better, one is cheaper. As far as results, there really is no discernible difference, and I would be skeptical of anyone who says otherwise.
Yes, this is one of a few common problems that occur with speed hooks. Also one of the reasons why they are a deal-breaker for me every time, except for non-alden boots.
Classic 974.
